The "She Can" adolescent health education public welfare project held an open class for middle school girl students in Zhengding County, North China's Hebei Province, on May 23.

Teachers spoke with girl students about their psychological changes, physical health and hygiene throughout adolescence and responded to their questions.

Attendees said that the open class helped them better cope with the physiological and psychological changes they were undergoing and helped them better handle personal problems.

Many students at the mountainous school come from disadvantaged families and their parents have left to work in cities. The latest round of financial aid covers the learning and living expenses of relevant students.

Students received new schoolbags and played games together.

"I am grateful to all charity-minded people for their assistance. I will study hard, strive to become a useful person in society, and lend a helping hand to those in need in the future," said a girl at the ceremony.
